221 SERIES BPA-FREE SINGLE-PACK SYSTEM
Ferro's 221 Series is an environmentally-friendly, clear, fast-dry urethane waterborne glass coating in a ready-to-use formula for spray application decoration of glass bottles and containers.
The 221 Series is a BPA-free, heavy-metal free, low VOC thermoset urethane coating specifically designed for container glass decoration.
This one-component organic waterborne coating system is formulated to provide a durable film with excellent glass adhesion, chemical resistance, and resistance to multiple dishwasher cycles.
Our tintable base/tint system offers 20 tint base colors and various additional decorative effects, including transparent, translucent, frost, metallic, pearlescent, neon, UV-protective, glossy or matte finishes providing decorators with an almost infinite number of design options for innovative glass decoration.

Color Mixing
We offer bases (clear, frost, metallic), along with approximately 20 tints, which gives our customers total flexibility in tailoring color matches on-site, as well as desired gloss and finish.
With our base/tint system, designers can achieve numerous finishes including transparent, translucent, frost, opaque, metallic, neon, and pearlescent. These coatings can be applied as a single finish or in combinations to deliver a myriad of effects.
Ferro provides complete custom color matching services to help our customers develop new colors and finishes to meet specific industry standards and/or unique customer needs. In addition to matching colors, Ferro can provide formulas to customers using the base/tint system.
Precise color matching can be achieved using our internal extensive database and color matching expertise. All colors are matched to defined reference samples to ensure exact match and consistent color reproduction from batch to batch.
