RECAP: Ferro and Dip-Tech Launched Groundbreaking Technologies and Inks at glasstec 2018

glasstec 2018, the premier international trade fair for glass production, processing and products was held in Dusseldorf, Germany October 23-26. Ferro was there, presenting with our digital glass printing business, Dip-Tech. Together, we showcased our comprehensive joint offering for glass printing, featuring dedicated solutions for architectural, automotive, container glass, and now appliance glass.

Revolutionizing the appliances market with the VEra printer and ULTRA-FIX inks

Ferro and Dip-Tech successfully used the glasstec platform to unveil our newest print technology innovation, a digital glass printer for the appliances market.  Attendees were treated to a glimpse of the exciting opportunities now made possible with the VEra printer, ULTRA-FIX technology and compatible Ferro ULTRA-FIX inks. These included impressive displays like 4-color control panels printed in one run, alongside oven doors with an innovative photo-realistic marble-like design.

Ferro's legacy screen printing solution for the appliances market was showcased with a stove-top and an oven door, and the back-splash and table-top were printed digitally, creating a full kitchen display.
Launching a new dedicated automotive solution

Oliver Heitman, Ferro’s European Business Manager, PCG – ATO & ELE, and Eduardo Tarrida, R&D Manager at Vidurglass Spain, were honored as official ribbon-cutters at the launch ceremony of the Dip-Tech Nera-V Plus printer – a dedicated machine for the automotive industry.

Mr. Heitman also introduced Ferro's latest screen printing inks for the automotive market.

Advancing the architecture market

Mary Abood, Director, Corporate Communications, Ferro, was on-hand to cut the ribbon at the launch ceremony of the Dip-Tech Nera-D Plus printer, an industrial, heavy-duty digital printer for serial production of decorative glass.

Building the future

One of the most visually impressive and colorful displays at the show was the Ferro & Dip-Tech futuristic building.

A scaled model concept of a commercial building, it was located at Glass Technology Live, the show’s central hub, where glass inspiration and trends are set.

Combining screen and digital glass print

Within the booth design, Ferro and Dip-Tech showcased applications that leverage the best of screen and digital print combined.

This display served as both inspiration and as a real-world demonstration of what our comprehensive solution can achieve.
Expanding container glass opportunities

Ferro's Container Glass Decoration division showcased a colorful area packed with printed glass bottles, cups and vases, demonstrating the outstanding versatility and aesthetic properties of Ferro’s enamels and sprays.
