ReCAP: PEI Tech Forum 2019
Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A.
Ferro was pleased to participate in the 2019 PEI Tech Forum, with our own Charles Baldwin, Porcelain Enamels R&D Manager in the Americas, serving as the Program Chairman.
Held in Louisville, Kentucky May 7-9, the 2019 PEI Tech Forum focused on two main themes: Back-to-Basics and Suppliers' Mart. The PEI Tech Forum is a pivotal event for the entire porcelain enamel industry – from porcelain enamel shops and laboratories through to providers of materials, chemicals, equipment, and services to the porcelain industry.
Hosted by the Porcelain Enamel Institute, this three-day event featured information-packed technical papers and practical shop-based presentations delivered by leading enamel professionals, including four sessions presented by Ferro.
- The 34th Back-to-Basics Workshop – Chaired by Charles Baldwin, R & D Manager-Americas and including Ian Toupin lab engineers, Ferro
- A Century of Porcelain Enamel and A Look Ahead – Charles Baldwin
- The Effect of Application Equipment on Powder Performance – Ian Toupin, Lab Engineer, Ferro
- Critical Raw Materials in the Porcelain Enamel Industry – Jake Grauf, Lab Engineer, Ferro
At the booth and in Charles Baldwin’s session, “we effectively presented Ferro products, including porcelain enamel, AquaRealEase®, Evolution®, and Inkjet-printed porcelain enamel.
Many of the event’s participants – among them major appliance OEMs and users of industrial porcelain enamels– visited the Ferro booth where they were impressed by our offering, particularly the Inkjet-printed ceramics. Other contacts and prospects also had a good showing, making the PEI Tech Forum another Ferro success.
