Soaking Agents for Ceramic Decals
Ferro supplies soaking agents designed to regenerate older ceramic decals. Our soaking agents enable aged, brittle decals to regain flexibility.
Using Ferro Soaking Agent 80 650 revives old ceramic decoration decals that have become unsuitable for decorative purposes, enabling brittle decals to become flexible again.
Adding 3‐4 % of Ferro Soaking Agent 80 650 to decal soaking water for approximately 15 minutes regenerates older ceramic decals. Ceramic decals become flexible again and can be processed like newly printed decals.
Ferro Soaking Agent 80 650 is gradually absorbed by the covercoat on the decal, rendering it very flexible. This process involves soaking the decals for at least 15 minutes. As decals absorb the soaking agent from the water, content of the soaking agent in the water gradually decreases.
Best results are achieved by changing the soaking agent and water solution completely at regular intervals.
