New Lysopac Yellow improves fastness properties and is workable in multiple plastic applications.
When Ferro customers told us they were searching for an improved bismuth vanadate yellow pigment, they had very specific requirements. They wanted a pigment that has high tinting strength, offers the right heat, light and weather fastness properties, and has the precise dispersibility to be usable in plastic fiber applications.
In response Ferro has introduced the new Lysopac Yellow 6614B. This new bismuth vanadate yellow pigment was developed by applying a new and improved encapsulation technology that allows for very dense and uniform layers of coating of the pigment, while providing enhanced pigment performance.

In response Ferro has introduced the new Lysopac Yellow 6614B. This new bismuth vanadate yellow pigment was developed by applying a new and improved encapsulation technology that allows for very dense and uniform layers of coating of the pigment, while providing enhanced pigment performance.
A bismuth vanadate engineered for superior performance.
New Lysopac Yellow 6614B pigment is workable in many different plastic applications, demonstrating very good heat fastness in temperatures up to 300°C (572°F) depending on the polymer used. Its light and weather fastness is best-in-class compared with other bismuth vanadates available for plastics.
Its tinting strength is also significantly higher than other bismuth vanadates that offer similar fastness properties. It also demonstrates very good dispersibility (FPV), making it suitable for plastic fiber and film applications.
As an additional bonus, Lysopac Yellow 6614B is compliant with EU10/2011 regulations and can be used in food contact applications, though migration tests must always be performed in the final application.
